Planetarium Online: Tour of the Morning Planets

LSC in the House

This week is a great time to see three bright planets—Jupiter, Mars, and Saturn—in the morning sky! Join LSC Planetarium Educator Chrysta Ghent and learn where to find these planets in the sky, and a bit about what makes each planet unique.

Along the way, you’ll visit the two largest moons in the solar system, Ganymede and Titan, visit volcanoes and a canyon on Mars, and fly through the rings of Saturn.

Video for this presentation was created on an Evans & Sutherland Digistar 6 system.

Liberty Science Center is home to the Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium, the biggest planetarium in America. This live stream was broadcast on Liberty Science Center's Facebook page on Thursday, April 2 – the very first time we streamed a planetarium presentation via social media!

We have more amazing live streams in the works! Be sure to follow us on Facebook for all updates, and regularly check our "LSC in the House" page for all of our at-home digital experiences.

We would like to give a special thank you to the members and supporters who continue to make this science learning possible through their support of the LSC Sustainability Fund!
