LSC Junior: Flower Power

As we turn to the spring season, flowers are beginning to bloom again. But how do they get the water they need to grow? In this program for young learners, we’ll explore how plants use specialized parts to take in and spread water all throughout its body.

Follow along with Mr. Kengo as we make a flower model to observe how water is able to travel through a flower to help it grow. Friends and families participating from home will need 4 or 5 coffee filters (but you can substitute paper towels or newspaper), a pair of scissors, some markers, a cup, and water.
