SAM KHICHI
EVP, General Counsel, Public Policy & Regulatory Affairs, Becton Dickinson & Company
Mr. Khichi joined BD in December 2017 as EVP and General Counsel, and subsequently assumed a leadership role for BD’s Public Policy and Regulatory functions.
Prior to BD, Khichi served as C.R. Bard’s SVP, General Counsel, and Secretary from 2014 until BD acquired C.R. Bard in 2017. From 2007-2014, Khichi was Chief Administrative Officer, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Catalent Pharma Solutions, Inc., a portfolio company of The Blackstone Group, where he was responsible for Catalent’s global legal affairs. Previously, Khichi was Counsel, Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity for O’Melveny & Myers LLP. His legal career also includes serving as General Counsel, Chief Administrative Officer, and Secretary for a software company, and as Associate, Mergers and Acquisitions for Shearman & Sterling LLP and McDermott Will & Emery. He also served as a White House Fellow appointed by President George W. Bush.
Khichi has an extensive military background, having served in the US Army as an active duty field artillery officer, followed by an assignment with the New York/New Jersey High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Program as a member of the New Jersey Army National Guard. Following his US Army and National Guard service, he served as a reserve officer in the US Navy Reserve, Office of Naval Intelligence.
Khichi holds a BS in Business Administration from Georgetown University, a JD, cum laude and order of the coif, from Fordham University School of Law, and an MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. He is a member of the board of directors of Fordham University School of Law Alumni Association as well as a member of the board of trustees of Tri-County Scholarship Fund. In addition, Khichi is on the board of Medical Device Innovation Council(MDIC) and the Alpine Learning Group, a school for children with autism.
